Dean Adams

Funeral services for 74 year old Dean Adams of Okoboji will be 10:30 am Monday at the Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Visitation will be 3:00 - 5:00 pm Sunday at Schuchert-Lentz Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Silver Lake Cemetery in Lake Park at a later date. Dean Palen Adams, the son of Palen and Hazel (Johnson) Adams, was born on March 25, 1941 in Spirit Lake, Iowa. He graduated from Excelsior High School in 1959 south of Lake Park. Dean married Janet Galema on March 5, 1961 in Lake Park. They were later divorced. On November 13, 1987 Dean married Peggy Heide in Spirit Lake. He was self employed installing floor covering and retired in 1999. Dean was a member of Black Knights Car Club. He enjoyed cars, Corvettes and Cameros, riding his Harley, researching and collecting guns, watching the Vikings and the History Channel and spending time with his family.
