Darlene R. Howland
Stoughton- Darlene R. Howland, age 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation. She was born in Muscoda on October 21, 1924 the daughter of Reynold and Sylvia Stephenson. Darlene grew up in Highland and moved to Madison in the 1950's. She was employed as a breakfast and lunch cook at Rennebohm's and the Park Motor Inn for 20+ years. Darlene enjoyed bowling, cross stitch, and fishing, and especially spending time with her family. She was a past member of the Eagles Club and a 33 year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 1318. Darlene was a member of Stoughton United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Gloria Wilson, Linda (Robert) Dinkle, Rob (Colleen), Ricky (Sandi) and Sher (Norman) Vike; son-in-law, Rick Seitz; 20 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; brother, Donald "Ole" Stephenson; sister, Barbara (Dean) Sippola; many extended relatives; and special friends. ember 1, 2015 at Stoughton United Methodist Church, 535 N. Lincoln Ave, Stoughton, with Rev. Dr. Dawn Jeffers Ramstad officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, immediately following the services, in the church fellowship hall. Entombment will take place at Roselawn Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, and from 10:00 AM until the time of services Tuesday at church. Memorials may be made to Stoughton United Methodist Church, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
