It is with both sadness and gladness that we announce the passing of Alver B. Louys, (AKA Nanny/Grandma)
Alver, (AL from Alice, her mother and (VER from Grover, her father), was born on 12/26/1920 and met with Jesus on 9/1/2015 to begin their journey, hand-in-hand, into eternal life.
Alver spent the majority of her life teaching mentally challenged and disturbed children at the Montanari Clinical School in Hialeah. Upon retirement she volunteered at Country lsles Elementary School for 15 years. Her love of life was reading.
She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Grove, Connecticut where she spent many happy and fun summers while growing up.
She leaves two children, Janet Erickson and husband Robert, Peter Louys and wife Robin, two grandchildren, Jill Mead and husband Lynn, and Scott Erickson, along with her long-time friend, Richard Pace.
Our family thanks GOD for the time he granted us with Nan. Our faith will continue to grow for we know that only beautiful things are awaiting us and that one day we will all be together again.
NOTE TO GOD: Please be sure to have Nan's cup of coffee ready each morning if you want things to be calm up there : )
