dchildren. Mr. Henke was quite the handyman, always fixing things around the house and creating projects such as birdhouses and furniture. He was also an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan. Gene is survived by his three children: Gloria Henke of Cedarburg, Gene (Pamela) Henke of Murfreesboro, TN and Christel (Jim Moy) Henke of Shorewood. He is further survived by four grandchildren: Rachel (Tony) Tompkins, Jessica (Mitchell) Wilkerson, Kristin (Brian) Meyers and Nori Moy, two great-grandchildren: Beckett Wilkerson and Skylar Tompkins, other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Ursula and seven sisters & brothers-in-law: Esther (Alfred) Friedrich, Eleanor (George) Ciszewski, Edna (Marvin) Pyan, Evelyn (Elmer) Ellenbecker, Leona (Walter) Allen, Theresa (Edward) Meyer and Lorinda (Harry) Pyan. Funeral Services and Military Honors will be held at 4PM on Friday, September 18th at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg. Rev. Wil Reichmann will preside. Gene will be laid to rest at Holden East Cemetery in Port Washington beside his wife. The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home in Cedarburg on Friday from 3-4PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to VFW Post 5373.
