Keith Anthony Black

Keith Anthony Black was the only child of Ruby Adaline Smith and Harold Black. Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, he attended St. George's Episcopal Church and Calabar High School. Keith gravitated towards the arts and photography. At a young age he began working for the Daily Gleaner as a photographer. He later started an apprenticeship in the newspaper's printing department and found his niche. A few years later, Keith moved on to a managerial position at United Printers in the Camera and Prep Department. In 1967, Keith was introduced to Millicent Audria Singh by a mutual friend. They fell in love and were married. While honeymooning in Miami, they found a tropical climate and lifestyle that was familiar and comforting, and they decided to make their home in South Florida. They owned and operated the print shop Perfection Litho for over 30 years while raising and educating their daughters. Over his life, Keith had a variety of interests. He studied sociology, took flying lessons and was an avid reader. Most of all, he was a devoted husband and father who believed in the importance of education. as a true believer in Christ and made many friends within the congregation of Holy Family Episcopal Church, where he was a member for more than 35 years, serving on the vestry, singing in the choir, and volunteering his printing talents. Keith is survived by his loving wife Millicent, daughters Charlene, Nicole and Jennifer, and grandsons Keith and Marcus.
