Rose J. Mass died peacefully on Oct. 7, 2015 in Tampa, Florida at 97 years of age. Born Rosalie Josephine Torrisi on Sept. 19, 1918 in Johnstown, NY to Salvatore and Josephine Torrisi. Rose leaves behind her 2 daughters, Jo Ann Allensworth and Simmy Campbell, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren 6 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rose lived life to the fullest, always independent, and always looking forward to her next adventure. She loved her hobbies of knitting, reading, crocheting, sewing, arts and crafts, bingo, and many other activities. Most of all she loved her family. She stayed very active after her retirement by volunteering at her church and was involved with many clubs, including the Hollywood Moose Lodge, the Columbiettes, The Elkettes, the Italian American Club of Miramar, and the Miramar Civic Association.
Rose lived life her way, and in many ways was ahead of her time. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
