Marlene J. Brinkman Miller, 82, of Allison, Iowa, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. She was born on October 15, 1932, in Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Russell and Helen (Orcutt) Meyers. Marlene graduated from Greene High School in 1950, and then attended Iowa State Teachers College. She married Donald Brinkman on June 5, 1955. He passed away on November 2, 1959. She then married Joe Miller on June 1, 1962. Marlene taught fifth grade in Tripoli for three years. She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church in Allison. Marlene is survived by sons Kevin Miller of Waterloo and Tim (Julie) Miller of Charles City, daughter Robin (William) Curler of Gladbrook, step-daughters Darla (Ed) Scott of Cedar Falls and Bonnie (LeRoy) Gangsei of Allison, step-sons Bobby Joe (Pat) Miller of Allison and Denny (Brenda) Miller of Allison, six grandchildren, twelve step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous step great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, sister Marcele Kramer of Allison and best friend Shirley Butler.
