Dear brother of Kathleen (Joe) Hewins, Regina (Chris) Evans and Alice (Doug) Gershuny. Preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Florence Doherty and siblings Arthur Doherty, Jr. and Maureen. Son-in-law of Frank and Lisa Loh. Brother-in-law of Karisa (Dan) Hung and Wen (Wendy) Chao. Also loved by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin on Friday, October 30, 3:00-7:00 PM. Visitation also at the Funeral Home, Saturday, October 31, 9:00-11:00 AM. Service 11:00 AM. Memorials appreciated to cancer research. Veteran of the US Air Force. He got to travel the world during his years of service. He loved music, Pink Floyd and the Beatles being his favorites. He worked at Team Industrial for over 10 years. He was avid NY Yankee fan. He collected trains, baseball cards and beer glasses. ever forgetting a birthday. He loved to spend time with his nieces, nephews and grandkids. He enjoyed life with passion. His lighthearted spirit will never be forgotten. Michael belonged to St. Matthew Catholic Church in Oak Creek, WI. He grew up in New York and New Jersey. Michael battled cancer with integrity, never giving up even at the end. Throughout his long battle he remained positive and didn't let his sickness ever hold him back. He made friends with all his caregivers and nurses.
