Answered the Lord's calling Monday, January 4, 2016 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Dorothy for 59 years. Loving and understanding dad of Kim Nimrick and Karen (Michael) Redford. Loving grandpa of Karen (Brian), Sandra (Michael), Chris (Kayla), Robert and Sean. Great-grandpa of Lexi, Katelyn, Kendall, Bristol and Bentley. Dear brother of Jean (Edward) Tousignant and brother-in-law of Claire Thorpe and James Tuxhorn. Preceded in death by parents Howard and Verdell Thorpe, brother Howard "Mike" Thorpe, and sister Carol Tuxhorn. Also loved by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers memorials to Peace United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association would be appreciated. Harold was a member of Cudworth Post 23 and was also a member of the Korean Knights Last Man Standing. He also belonged to the Grasshopper Golf Group.
