Jay R. Kasner

Died unexpectedly and peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2016. Age 73. Beloved husband and friend of Joanne Carpentier - Kasner. Dear brother of Gary Kasner (Carolyn Ball). Special friend and relative to numerous people, especially those of the Community of St. Anskar's Episcopal Church, Waukesha Sunrise Rotary, Westwood fitness buddies and alumni and fans of Badger Hockey and Football. Jay proudly received a BS Degree from University of Minnesota and Medical Degrees from the University of South Dakota and UW - Madison. Jay overcame addiction and devoted the next 30 years of his life to helping and healing others who faced this disease. He was the Medical Director of Addiction Services at Rogers Memorial Hospital West Allis and then the attending physician at the Oconomowoc Campus. Memorial Gathering Saturday, January 9 at St. Anskar's Episcopal Church On Highway 83 1/2 a mile North of Highway 16, Hartland, WI 53029 from 12PM until time of Service at 2PM. Additional fellowship to follow after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Anskar's Church, Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation or UW Badger Hockey Fund appreciated. [more]
