David Allen Ploetz

David Allen Ploetz, 72 of Goodview, formerly of Utica, died Monday, November 25, 2013 at his home.
Dave was born June 1, 1941 in Utica to Elmer and Gertrude (Boettcher) Ploetz. He attended country school in Utica and St. Charles Public Schools. Dave farmed on the family farm for many years, was a business owner and worked for various companies throughout his working years. He retired 15 years ago. He belonged to St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St. Charles for many years. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading Western Novels, history and could have a conversation with anyone.
He is survived by his children, Tim (Brenda) Ploetz, Laura (Dawayne) Bedke, Lisa (Gene) Spitzer and Tina (Lee Jay) Small; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Ken (Ruth) Ploetz; three nieces and his significant other, Brenda Dienger and her family.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents.
