Mara Lee Rukavina

Mara Lee Rukavina, (nee Moline) passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at her home.

Mara was born March 9, 1967 to Ron and Carol (Graus) Moline in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. Her family moved to Winona, Minnesota where she was raised. She graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1985 and Lowthian College of Fashion Merchandising, Minneapolis in 1986.

Mara was married to John Rukavina on June 1, 1991. Mara gave birth to a son, Lucas Rukavina, on December 28, 1994. In April 2008, Mara gave birth to Lily Eiffler.

Mara worked as a waitress at Happy Chef through high school, and then at Winona Country Club for many years after college. Her experience in the food service industry led to a new venture for Mara, when in 1997, she began her own food catering business which became successful and thrived for many years.

Mara will be remembered by many for her kindness, energetic and electric personality, smile, and the biggest heart in the world.

Memorials are preferred to the Winona Area Humane Society.

Services for Mara will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2014 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview, MN with visitation two hours prior and a luncheon to follow the service. Pastor Rick Iglesias will be officiating. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona.
