Ruth Joyce Steinfeldt
WINONARuth Joyce Steinfeldt, 53, of Winona, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI with family by her side following a short battle with cancer.
Ruth was born June 30, 1961 in La Crosse to Rolland and Geraldine (Unnasch) Steinfeldt. She graduated from Houston High School in 1979.
Throughout her life, she held positions at Houston Publishing Company, St. Mary's College, Pillsbury Corporation, and Sauer Memorial Home. Ruth was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church and served on the Board of Evangelism.
Ruth loved life and had an infectious laugh and smile that touched all who knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, visiting, singing karaoke, cooking, and relaxing with her cat, Tabby.

phews, Zachary Steinfeldt, Hector Steinfeldt, Matthew Steinfeldt, and Daniel Steinfeldt; and 2 great-nieces, Olivia Yohe and Hannah Steinfeldt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rolland and Geraldine Steinfeldt, and many aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Winona with visitation one hour prior. Reverend Richard Moore will officiate. Burial will follow at Bush Cemetery in Ridgeway.
