Erwin Hieger, age 95, of Hollywood, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 in the comfort of his home with his family by his side. Born on May 8, 1920, in Vienna, Austria, Erwin was the son of the late Anton and Berta (Kolb) Hieger. Raised and educated in Vienna, he also served in the Austrian Armed Forces and relocated to the United States in 1973. In January 1973, Erwin was united in marriage to Dora Villar. Their relationship was blessed as a loving and devoted union filled with mutual love and respect. Erwin and Dora shared a journey alongside each other for 53 years. Erwin owned and operated the I95 Service Station for 25 years where he made many friendships. He had a deep pride in his work and strived for quality and consistency. Although his outgoing and friendly nature brought him happiness, the greatest source of his joy was his wife and children of whom he was so proud. Erwin possessed a warm and caring heart and a selfless attitude to assist his family and friends.
