Richard J. Barrie

Age 65, of Milwaukee, formerly of Wauwatosa, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 27, 2016 after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his Father, Thomas, he is survived by his Mother, Shirley Barrie, Milwaukee, Thomas of Jefferson, to whom Rick was a devoted and supportive brother, his loving daughters, Kristin Barrie of Jefferson and Michelle (Robert) Burmeister, Menomonee Falls, a proud Grandfather to Marek, Claire and Quin Engle and Evelyn and Robby Burmeister. Rick graduated from Wauwatosa East High School and Lakeland College before joining his Father in businesses in Wauwatosa. He was an avid golfer and curler and was a past president of the Wauwatosa Curling Club. The family is deeply grateful to the Medical Staff of St. Joseph's Hospital for their care and compassion during Rick's long stay there. Memorials appreciated to St. Coletta of Wisconsin N4637 County Road Y, Jefferson, WI 53549. At Rick's request private services were held. [more]
