the Interim Town Administrator for the Town of Davie. Chief Montopoli has been with the Town of Davie for over ten years. His Professional affiliations include: member of the International Associations of Fire Chiefs, Florida International Associations of Firefighters, Florida Professional Firefighters Association, Broward County Council of Professional Firefighters and Paramedics, Florida Department of Law Enforcement Domestic Security Task Force, and is an adjunct Instructor at Broward Community College and the Broward Fire Academy. Strong willed and determined Joe was dedicated to his family, coworkers and the residents that he served. Joe was ambitious and attained his goals in his personal life and with the department. Joseph is survived by his children; Guiseppe "Joe" and Amy Montopoli, Maria Montopoli, Gina and Chaz Caputo, Christina Montopoli and Francesco "Frankie" Montopoli; his cherished granddaughter, Alexandra; his father, Joseph Montopoli; his sisters and brother-in-law, Charlene and John Pekas and Roxanne Feeney; his many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and in-laws, Ann Hewit and Ester Hellerman. Joe was predeceased by his in-laws; Sam and Teresa Caputo, Charles Caputo and Joseph Feeney. The family is grateful to the Davie Fire Rescue and Police Departments for their care and timely response shown to their father and them during this difficult time. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 1:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 9:00 at the Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood. Joseph's funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Tuesday morning at 10:15 at Words of Life Fellowship Church, 20051 NE 16 Place, North Miami Beach. Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Gardens.
