Mary loved life and hosted many bus tours to casinos and theaters around the area. She truly enjoyed singing, bowling, acting, singing, traveling overseas, working, and singing. Mary was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and had many mementos to prove it. She was also a Brewers fan, with bobble heads to prove it, including and Hank the K-9. Mary sang with the BelCanto Choir for 11 years under the original director Father Drebby and others. She was a member of the Milwaukee Players. She sang with the Great Lakes Opera Co., The Glenview Players, Resurrection Choir at St. Margaret Mary, and the Guitar Group at 11AM Mass for 45 years. She also spent 15 of those years as the Librarian. She was also part of the Mount Mary Madrigold Group, she loved her dress! Mary belonged to the Catholic Knights for over 65 years and served as Secretary of Branch 216 for 13 years. Bingo was played at St. Anne's Salvatorium Center and every July there was a cookout at the Veterans Center with music. We did good. St. Margaret Mary was Mary's 2nd home for over 65 years. Early on she planned liturgies, was President of Christian Women, was President of Parish Liturgy Team and Liturgical Committee, and helped decorate the Church, served as a reader and Eucharistic Minister and also a Greeter. She put together Parish Pictorial Directories, worked fish fries, she also chaired them for 5 years with her friend Jean Purdy. That's my Alleluia! Mary worked part-time at Mt. Mary University as a switchboard receptionist for over 25 years. Her sensitivity and wit gave many cause to smile or laugh. She always wanted people to be happy. She graduated from Pius XI High School in 1949 and helped plan their 50th Reunion in the fall of 2000. She also attended Alverno College. Mary made many trips overseas to Germany, England, France, Ireland, Japan, China, Thailand, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Rome, Austria, Italy, and Hawaii. God was good, there was never so much beauty seen by one person. Please remember her in your prayers, she will do the same. She'll miss you with all of her heart and soul. Be kind to one another, life is too short. Many thanks Wayne for your loving care over the last 15 years. First you helped with Dad, then you got stuck with Mom. Bless you. Remember dear family and friends God is always with you, be kind, loving and understanding. Keep me in your prayers as I will you in mine. I love you dearly, this separation is only temporary, but I'll miss you all anyhow! I pray God will accept me into His Heavenly Home, it will take my breathe away to be with Mother Mary and her Loving Son. I will rest now. My job is done, in Heaven just begun.
