Lester Joseph Dias

Lester J. Dias, age 75 of the Silver Ridge West section of Berkeley Township died on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Dias lived in Perth Amboy, Barnegat and Bayville before settling in Holiday City in 2001. He began his career as a sheetrocker in the construction industry, and was later a jeweler for over 30 years. He was a longtime member of the YMCA in Perth Amboy and in Manalapan. He enjoyed body building, attending car shows, and traveling, especially to Key West and Puerto Rico. He was predeceased by his son, Kevin. Surviving are two sons, Anthony and Raymond; his extended family, Carol Larsen, Leslie Leedy, and David, Brian and Blake Menadier; his brother, Robert Dias; his sister, Annette Wynkoop; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, Cousin Gene; Mother-in-Law, Florence; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Cremation was private in the care of Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services, 1329 Route 37 West, Toms River.
