Alex Landazabal Lavilla, 69, died suddenly at Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, March 14, 2016. Born in Lambunao, Iloilo, Philippines on November 15, 1946, one of 10 born to Teopisto and Teresa (Landazabal) Lavilla. Raised and educated in the Philippines, Alex migrated to the United States in 1982, settling in Miami. Alex owned and managed Sto Nino Transpiration Inc.; since 1998. He was working at the time of his death. Survived by his beloved wife, Gloria (Mamugay) Lavilla, his loving daughter, Charissa Lavilla and her husband, Arturo Rivera and adored granddaughter, Sophia Rivera , siblings Arden Luz Lateo, Teresa Millanes, Oscar Lavilla and his wife, Magdalena Lavilla, Susan Macrohon and her husband, Rogelio Macrohon, Teopisto Lavilla, Jr; and his wife, Violeta Lavilla, Sabrina Manatad, Pancho Lavilla and his wife, Clavelyn Lavilla, Fredde Lavilla and his wife, Cristina Lavilla, and Jaime Lavilla and his wife Riza Lavilla. Visitation on Saturday, March 19th and Sunday, March 20th from 3:00 ~ 9:00 P.M. at Fred Hunter UNIVESRITY DRIVE Funeral Home 2401 South University Drive in Davie. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday evening at 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Alex will be laid to rest at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hollywood.
