Mark Christensen, 53, of Henderson, IA, passed away at his home on April 4, 2016. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson. Burial will be in the Farm Creek Cemetery - Henderson. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Carson. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to the Henderson Christian Church or Henderson Volunteer Fire Department. Loess Hills Funeral Home of Carson in charge of arrangements. Mark Alan Christensen, one of two sons of Norman and Mary Stephania (Vogltanz) Christensen, was born on October 3, 1962 in Omaha, Nebraska. He grew up in Henderson, Iowa and attended school at Nishna Valley, graduating with the Class of 1981. Mark made his home in Henderson and worked at Parker Hannifin in Red Oak, Iowa. He enjoyed attending tractor shows, swap meets, and flea markets so he could add to his collection of the older John Deere and Allis-Chalmers tractors, toy tractors and knick-knacks.
