Mildred Catherine Suchomel, 97, Tipton, and formerly of Cedar Bluff area, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Cedar Manor Nursing Home. Visitation and Funeral details are as follows: Visitation is Friday, April 22 from 10:00-11:00 am, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton. Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 11:00 am, also at St. Mary's. There will be a time of food and fellowship at St. Mary's Hall before going to St. Bridget's Cemetery in Solon for the Graveside service. All memorials in Mildred's honor may be directed to the Cedar Manor Expansion fund. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Mildred was born on March 12, 1919 to Frank and Emma (Ciha) Suchomel in the rural Cedar Bluff area. Mildred attended a rural country school before attending Business College in Cedar Rapids. She then moved to California for a few years where she was employed as a secretary for various businesses before returning home to the farm and helping her father run the Cedar Bluff Store.
