Jacques P. Auguste

. Jacques P. Auguste was born on May 8, 1955 in Port au Prince, Haiti. As the eldest child of Nelien and Marcia Merisier-Auguste, Jacques' birth was followed by three sisters, Jocelyne, Primerose, and Kettely, respectively. Although he loved his sisters, he always prayed for a little brother so he was thrilled when his brother, Josue, was born. Coincidently, they were born in the same month - and when Josue was born, Jacques ran through the whole neighborhood celebrating his brother's birth. They remained close throughout the years. Later, he would gain another sister, Marie Denise, who he nicknamed Kathy. Jacques came to the United States in 1970 where he graduated from Erasmus High School and subsequently The City College of New York. He met and married his soulmate, Solange Katia Jean-Francois in December 1975. The two of them had three sons, Jeffrey, Kenneth and Andrew. As much as he loved his siblings, his true love was for his wife and sons. After living in Long Island, Jacques and his family moved to South Florida. his loses. Jacques also had an affinity for animals, especially dogs, and he loved music with a passion. His favorite band was Skah-Shah and his favorite singer was Mireille Mathieu. He enjoyed all sports but he loved football the most. Jacques is survived by his sons, his aforementioned sisters and brother, nieces, nephews and a litany of good friends.
