Samuel L. Benavides

Born 11/7/1945; entered eternal life surrounded by family and friends on May 13, 2016. Sam is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Betty "Jo" (nee Musselman), his sons Tate (Cathy) and Trent, and his grandchildren Tiburon, Paige, Andromeda, and Josefina. Further survived by brothers John (Debbie), Rudy (Jackie), Tono, Santos (Diane), and sisters Hope (Pat) Gill, Bridgette (Kathy) and sister-in-law Linda (Leander's wife). Also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many, many great friends. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Leonides and Anita (Joseph Hermann), and siblings Lucio, Leander, and Anita C. Visitation at the Krause Funeral Home 21600 W. Capitol Dr. Brookfield, WI Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 9:00AM until time of Service at 12:00 Noon. Procession to Wisconsin Memorial Park for full Military Honors to follow. Sam proudly served his country in the Army, F TRP, 17th CAV, 196th from 1965 - 1967. He was decorated with the Purple Heart during his service in Vietnam.
