e American Legion. Membership in the Masonic Fraternity was a very significant part of Tom's life. He was a Past Master of Millersville Lodge No. 126 and a member of the Scottish Rite, the York Rite and the Murat Shrine. For ten years, Tom served as the cast director of the Scottish Rite. He was honored to be a 33-degree Mason. He attended Second Presbyterian Church. Studying American history was an interest of Tom's, so much so that he developed a first person program about George Washington that he presented to schools and historical organizations for many years. He was a past president of the Clarence A. Cook chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, a member of the Society of Colonial Wars, and the Sojourners. An avid sports fan, Tom particularly enjoyed baseball and football, with the Cincinnati Reds baseball team and the University of Michigan football team being his favorites to follow. For many years, he organized trips to Reds baseball games for his Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite. He and his wife were charter members of Heather Hills Country Club, even though everyone who knew him recognized that playing the game of golf was often frustrating to him. Tom would say he scored better with the Service Club Bowling League, of which he was its "commissioner" for 18 years. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Alice; brother, Winston C. Williams of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; first cousin, Beverly (Waterbury) Sjolin, Cincinnati, Ohio, who was reared in the Williams household after the death of her parents; four children, Thomas B. Williams, III (Freddie J.), Jerry B. Williams, Sue A. Carducci (Michael), and James R. Williams; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 18. Calling will be Tuesday, October 17 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Masonic Service there at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Scottish Rite Foundation, Valley of Indianapolis, or the Millersville Masonic Lodge Endowment Foundation.
