Marjorie Sweeney

Marjorie K. Sweeney, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday January 8, 2007 at Marquette Manor. She was born October 19, 1923 in Omaha, NE to the late Edward and Agnes (Higgins) Kelly. Marjorie earned a B.A. from Creighton University 1944 and her Master?s in Education from Butler University in 1966. On September 29, 1945 she married the late Thomas M. Sweeney; he preceded her in death on January 14, 2004. Mrs. Sweeney was a guidance counselor at Greenwood High School and also at Westfield High School for 14 years. Marjorie was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church, Proctor Club serving as Past President, Discussion Club, St. Vincent Hospital Guild, Indianapolis Museum of Art, where she was a volunteer and the Children?s Museum Guild. She is survived by her children, Thomas E. Sweeney, John F. Sweeney, Michael W. Sweeney and Marguerite M. Sweeney Simmons, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
