Mark Jacob Bower, 49, passed away February 7, 2007. He was born February 3, 1958 to the late Raymond and Martha ( Schuster) Bower in Kentland, Indiana. He spent much of his life in Indianapolis and graduated from the Indiana School for the Deaf. While in high school he competed on the varsity track team and later participated in the1977 World Games for the Deaf . He worked for AT&T for 28 years. He was a member of the Greater Indianapolis Deaf Club, the National Association of the Deaf, and from 2004-2005 he was the vice-president of the Alumni for the Indiana School for the Deaf. He was an avid nascar fan and loved the Indianapolis 500. Mark is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Nicholas,Bridget,Suzy(Chris),Bradley,Blaze and Shannon; brothers, Ed (Barb) Bower, and Charles(Terri)Bower; sister, Mary Anne (Diane); 3 grandchildren; 1 niece and nephew; 3 aunts and 2 uncles. Family and friends will gather Sunday, February 11 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, 740 East 86th street, Indianapolis.
