Charles H. Lyons

Charles H. Lyons, 54, of Indianapolis, died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 10th at Methodist Hospital. He was the son of the late John W. and Ellen C. O?Connor Lyons. He married Rebecca Ursiny on June 2, 1973. He was a 1970 graduate of Cathedral High School where he played varsity football and ran track. He earned a bachelors degree from Indiana University. ?Charlie? was employed at Target in Indianapolis and also worked for the Quaker Oats Company. He was a hard working, devoted, and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was also an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Chicago Cubs, Butler Bulldogs, and the Indiana Hoosiers. He also proudly embraced his Irish heritage. He left a lasting impression on every person blessed to know him. He will be greatly missed. Survivors are his wife; daughter, Tricia Anne Scheumann (husband: Chris) of Lafayette; son and best friend, Scott Charles Lyons; brothers, Thomas Lyons (wife: Candy), Robert Lyons (wife: Deborah) of Carmel; sister, Ellen Gremling; and grandsons, Jackson Charles and Joseph Scott Scheumann of Lafayette. l gather from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 15 at the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, 740 East 86th Street, Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 16. Interment will be at Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown.
