Robert "Bobby" Applegate

Robert ?Bobby? Applegate, 61, Carmel, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2007. Bobby was preceded in death by his loving parents Voyle and Allegra (Newby) Applegate and his brother James ?Jimmy? Applegate. A native of Carmel, Indiana, Bobby lived and worked his entire life within that community. He was the owner of Bob?s Lawn Care Service which he operated for over 30 years until his passing. Bobby loved the outdoors and had a special place in his heart for animals. In his younger years, he was an avid fisherman who enjoyed salmon trips to Michigan in the fall and saltwater fishing in Florida with his friends for the winter. Bobby was the Indiana State Billiards Champion for two consecutive years in the late 1960s. He was also a skilled bowler who was recognized for bowling a perfect 300 game. He will be missed by his loving wife of 30 years, Marianne Applegate; son, Steve (Deana) Applegate; daughter, Mindy (Chris) Stupp and grandchildren; Tyler and ?Mickey? Stupp. Visitation will be held at Leppert Mortuary, Smith Carmel Chapel, 900 N. Rangeline Rd. on Thursday, February 22 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service to follow.
