Dr. Hudson Kelley

Hudson G. Kelley, D.D.S., 84, of Indianapolis, died on March 20, 2007. He was born in Sainam, China to missionary parents, Rev. George and Margaret Gaylor Kelley on June 13, 1922. He attended the British School in Kowloon, Hong Kong, graduated from Magnolia High School, NC and received a B.S. degree from the University of South Carolina. During World War II he was in the V 12 Program, graduating with a D.D.S. degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1947 and an M.S. degree in Orthodontics in 1950. Dr. Kelley served with the 1st Marine Air Wing during the Korean War. In addition to his orthodontic practice, he was a part-time instructor at the IU School of Dentistry. He was a member of the Indianapolis District Dental Society, Indiana Dental Assoc., Indiana Assoc. of Orthodontists, Great Lakes Assoc. of Orthodontists, American Board of Orthodontists, OKU dental honorary, Edward H. Angle Society, American College Dentists and the Greenwood Christian Business Men?s Committee. During retirement he served as a volunteer with the Prison Ministry at the Pendleton Reformatory. Three brothers preceded him in death, George, Paul and Wm. Kelley, D.D.S. Friends and family will gather on Thursday, March 22, 2007 from 4-7PM in the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, 740 E 86th St., Indianapolis. A funeral service for Dr. Kelley will be Friday, March 23, 2007 at 11AM in the Castleview Baptist Church, 8601 Hague Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46256.
