Gale T. Shullenberger was born in Mexico, Missouri on July 1, 1913 and moved with his family to Indianapolis in 1926. His father, the Reverend William A. Shullenberger, was a minister at Central Christian Church for many years and his mother, Grace (Tilton) Shullenberger, was very active in that church. Gale, who was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anne Shaw Davis Shullenberger and three children: Paul D. Shullenberger of Chicago, Mark T. Shullenberger of Indianapolis, and Anne S. (Patrick) LÇvy of Boston, and three grandchildren: Benjamin G., LÇa N., and Elizabeth H. LÇvy. One son, Benjamin Wendell, died in infancy. Gale is survived by his brother, Dr. C.C. Shullenberger, and wife, Betty Lou (Fraling), of Houston , Texas, and by their three children, Jan Shullenberger, Alan (Denise) Shullenberger, and Ann (James) Saye. Gale is also survived by his niece and nephews, children of the late Dr. Wendell A. Shullenberger and Mary Eleanor (Davis) Shullenberger: Mary S. The Calling will be held at Leppert Mortuary, 740 E. 86th St., from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday, May 2. The Funeral will be held at the Gothic Chapel, Crown Hill Cemetery at 11:30 am Thursday, May 3.
