Robert William Lucka, 43, of Noblesville, passed away July 22, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born February 1, 1964 in Dayton, OH to Wilbert and Maria Elaine Fouche Lucka. A graduate of the Air Force Academy where he flew T-38?s and C-135?s in the reserves, Bob proudly served his country for 8 years. He became a pilot with the UPS Airlines earning the rank of Captain flying 727?s, 757?s and 767?s. Besides his passion for flying Bob enjoyed golfing at the Harbor Trees Golf Club in Noblesville where he was a member. He was also a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church. On August 14, 2004 he married Gayle Cackler Lucka, she survives. Other survivors include his parents; his mother-in-law, Kathleen Cackler; son, Taylor Robinson; daughter, Grace Marie Lucka; brothers, Doug and Adam Lucka; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Cackler, Debora Harding and Cynthia Coleman.
