Laurie Ann Whitcomb

Laurie Ann Whitcomb, 49, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer. Laurie was born January 17, 1958 in Reading, PA to Thomas Benz and Lucy Mangrum. She graduated from Ball State with a Bachelor?s degree and from Purdue with a double Master?s degree. Laurie loved to be out-of-doors and enjoyed photographing landscapes and flowers. Her passion for preparing Italian food and baking cookies, especially her chocolate chip cookies, pleased many. Laurie helped others with her vast knowledge and experience in counseling. She is survived by her mother, Lucy Mangrum; husband, Ken Whitcomb; son, Gabriel Whitcomb; siblings, Pat, Kathy, Jean and Sam and several nieces and nephews.
