Helen Cashen Galbreath Quinlan, of Indianapolis and Boynton Beach, Florida, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away October 19, 2007. She was born on February 22, 1920 in Joliet, Illinois, daughter to the late Robert and Ella Jones. She was married to Joseph Cashen and Charles Galbreath, who both preceded her in death. She married William Quinlan on July 21, 2001 who survives. Helen retired from Howard W. Sams, as the Benefits Manager. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Indianapolis and St. Thomas More Parish in Boynton Beach , Florida. She was a member of the Meridian Hills Country Club and Quail Ridge Country Club in Boynton Beach. Helen was also a member of the St. Vincent Guild and the Indianapolis Art League. During World War II Helen and her husband Bill worked on the Manhattan Project in separate locations. Helen was also a member of the Stephen Decatur High School, Illinois State Champion stenography team where she typed 92 words per minute with no errors. N, and Philip Cashen of Elmhurst, IL; grandchildren, Jennifer Cashen, Jill Cashen(Keith Ashdown), Joseph Cashen (Patti), Steven Elliott (Mary), Brian Elliott (Jeanine) and Peter Cashen; great-grandchildren, Spencer, Aidan, Rosemary and Grant Elliott, Audrey and Eleanor Ashdown, Jack and Eileen Cashen. Step-Children, Michael Galbreath (Janie), Charles Galbreath (Stacy), Marilyn Foster (Ron), Janet Keller (Steve), Alan Quinlan and Thomas Quinlan (Stella). Helen was a gracious hostess, a wonderful cook, an avid golfer, a painter, a loving and involved parent and grandparent. Her extended family will miss her laughter, her wit and her loving guidance. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 24 at 10:00 am at St. Luke Catholic Church, 7575 Holliday Drive, Indianapolis.
