Kathleen Anne (Deasy) Witchger, 60 of Indianapolis, passed away December 18, 2007 at home with her husband of 36 years, William J. Witchger and her six children; Colleen (Joseph) Furey, William J. Witchger II, Theresa (Doug) Carender, Kathryn (Matthew) Mayer, Mary Witchger, David Witchger and her two grandchildren, Margaret and Caroline Furey. Her love and devotion to God and to her family will be remembered. She was born on January 27, 1947 in Manhatten, Kansas to John and Lucibert Deasy. She attended Cortland University. Following her time at Cortland University she served as a VISTA Volunteer in Nebraska where she met her husband Bill. They were married on September 4, 1971 in Virgil, New York. Kathy received her LPN in Evansville, Indiana where she lived for four years. Upon moving to Indianapolis, Kathy became involved with Right to Life of Indianapolis and served on the board of directors for a number of years. Kathy also served as a member of the board of directors for Fatima Retreat House. A Resurrection Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with calling there from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
