Neubauer, Anna January 4, 2008 Anna Neubauer 96, of Carmel, beloved wife of the late Joseph Neubauer, died December 31, 2007 at her residence in the Summertrace Manor Care. She was born June 7, 1911 in Portland, Maine to the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Carvel) Halkin. Anna loved and cared for her family as a homemaker and was a gifted and talented artist. She was offered a scholarship to the Philadelphia Academy of Art which she declined to stay home working and helping her family. An avid Indianapolis Colts and Pacers fan she rarely missed watching a game. She was a member of the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation. Anna is survived by her two daughters and their families, Arlene (Neil) Martin of New York, Sheila Kaye (Jared) Dwosken of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Michelle Crawford of New York and Michael Dwosken of Los Angeles, one great-grandchild, Eva Crawford, sister, Rose Bank of Philadelphia, and brother, Rubin Halkin of Waretown, New Jersey. A graveside service is scheduled for Sunday, January 6, 2008 in the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation Cemetery North, west of North Meridian Street on 161st.
