Robert M. Hunter

Robert M. Hunter, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away March 23, 2008. He was born January 28, 1921 in Indianapolis to the late John and Della (Bowman) Hunter. Mr. Hunter served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was discharged in 1945. He worked in sales at Pepperidge Farm for 28 years, retiring 1986. He was a member of East 91st Street Christian Church, a 50 year member of Broad Ripple Lodge #643 F.&A.M., Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine. On August 9, 1946 he married Jane L. Hunter and she survives. Other survivors include his two sons, Gerald E. (Jin) and Thomas M. (Rachel) Hunter; one sister, Mabel Hendrickson; two brothers, Raymond and Melvin Hunter; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26 at the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel 740 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis.
