s they went to sleep. After retirement, she enjoyed caring for her home and family, her flowers and birdfeeders in the yard and loved to cook. MaryEllen was an avid crotchetier having made hundreds of blankets for preemie babies at Riley Children?s Hospital. She served as a volunteer at the Humane Society for a number of years where she donated blankets for the kittens and puppies. She loved her family and was especially proud to be ?Grandma? to her grandchildren. Family and friends will gather on Saturday, March 29, 2008 in Leppert Mortuary, Smith Carmel Chapel at 12:00 noon where the funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Carmel Cemetery.
