Harry Frank Prah of Indianapolis met Our Lord peacefully on May 19, 2008 at Marquette Manor. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 3, 1916 to Mary and Frank Prah, attended East Technical High School and graduated Fenn College in 1946 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He married Violet Kahila on February 28, 1942. A holder of many welding patents, Harry was with Bryant Heating and was president and founder of Prah Engineering. A national president of the American Welding Society in 1985-86, Harry was also active in Toastmasters International and Boy Scouts of America, guiding all four sons to the rank of Eagle Scout. Harry and Violet also volunteered for years at St. Vincent Hospital. Harry was a supporter of education, his five children attaining professional degrees; four sons at Purdue and daughter, Karen at Western College for Women. He enjoyed extensive travels with Violet, a round of golf with friends or family and PRAH HURRAHS. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Osinski.
