Billy Joel Tyree, 67, of Indianapolis, IN passed away September 14, 2008. Billy was born in Harlan, KY on May 29, 1941 to Ernest Tyree and Nola (Robinson) Travillian. Billy attended Hazel Green High School in East Bernstadt, KY and graduated in 1958. After graduating he went to work as a mechanic at Olin Brass where he retired from in 1997. He was a member of the Broad Ripple Lodge #643 F. & A. M., Murat Shrine, and Scottish Right. Billy enjoyed being with his friends and family. He was also an avid motorcyclist who loved to travel. His father Ernest Tyree preceded him in death. Survivors include mother, Nola (Robinson) Travillian; son, Michael (Theresa) Tyree; daughter, Karen (Robert) Gaertner; grandchildren, Nikole and Bradley Gaertner; sisters, Anna Humfleet, oldest of five sisters; brothers, Bobby Tyree oldest of six brothers.
