John "Jack" W. Killinger 92, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2008. He was born December 14, 1915 to the late George W. and Edna (Donavan) Killinger in Indianapolis. Mr. Killinger was a graduate of Cathedral High School. He attended St Mary's College in San Antonio, TX. He retired from Indiana Bell in 1982 as a Division Manager with responsibilities over Labor Relations, Salary Administration and Personnel for 49 years. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church and on the ushers committee, past president of the Hoosier State Chapter Telephone Pioneers of America, past president of the Lions Head Condominium Association, past secretary of the Serra Club of Indianapolis, Indianapolis Athletic Club, Columbia Club, Meridian Hills Kiwanis Club and a Home Visitor for 25 years for the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Mr. Killinger served his country in the Army 96th Signal Battalion as Commander and was stationed in China, Burma and India. He retired as Captain in 1945. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Barbara Reich Walsh Killinger; children, John Killinger (Sally) of Indianapolis, Karen Killinger and William Killinger both of California.
