Walter T. Hunt

Walter T. Hunt Jr., 82 of Indianapolis, passed away October 5, 2008. He was the son of the late Walter T. Hunt and Bertha I. Evans Hunt. Walter was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII. He was a 52 year member of the Indianapolis Valley Scottish Rite and the North Park Lodge #646 F. & A.M. He had worked for Bastian Material Handling for 18 years. Walter retired from the Indianapolis Fire Department in 1968 after serving 20 years. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Vonda E. Grimes Hunt. Survivors include his wife, Sally J. Hunt; brother, Robert Hunt of Tucson, AZ and sister, Marybeth Van Hook of Martinsville, IN; step-daughter, Cynthia York; step-sons, David A. Harding, Paul (Charll) Obear and Trey Siemantel; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. in Leppert Mortuary, Smith Carmel Chapel. Burial will follow in the Carmel Cemetery.
