Paulette Ann Richards ? wife of David Richards, son Todd Richards passed away after a 2 year battle with ovarian cancer. Paulette fought courageously, seldom complaining, and always remaining so positive. She will be missed so much by family, friends, and those who knew her well. Paulette moved from New York City to Indy and graduated from Broad Ripple. She attended Ball State and John Herron as an art student and painted several outstanding paintings throughout her life. With her art background, Paulette became one of the first women in Indy to have established a residential/commercial painting business. She loved working with decorators at the Decorator Showcase each year. Paulette gave each client, great warmth, expertise and excellence. Paulette loved shopping for bargains and had a booth at Midland Arts & Antiques for years. She so enjoyed that aspect of her life. Her most important and meaningful life experience was she and Dave?s son Todd who she could never stop talking about to others, along with Nikki, her ?adopted? daughter who she truly loved. nda, Betsy and Jennifer who all became a part of her extended family during her ?battle.? She respected and cared so much for their work, professionalism and compassion, but mostly for their love and friendship. Paulette touched so many patients at their office with her always positive and upbeat attitude. She will be truly missed. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel 740 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis. Paulette loved life and fought so vehemently to sustain it, but even in death she had such dignity and grace. God is getting an incredible spirit of warmth, compassion and positive perseverance, (along with a touch of feistiness). We as her family will miss her so very much, but her life will be treasured in our minds and in our hearts forever ? until we next meet.
