Edith J. Sommer

Edith J. Sommer Passed away January 4, 2009. She was born on October 26, 1915 to Charles and Mary (Korves) Hasecoster in Richmond, Indiana. Edith graduated from St. John's Elementary School and St. Agnes Academy. She attended Central Business College and then went on to work at Eli Lilly Co. for six years. Edith is proceeded in death by husband, Fred W. Sommer; a brother Lester and sister Margie; sister, Mary Miley; and grandsons, Robert Fritz Baxter, Michael Wilhelm Baxter, Timothy Frances Fowler and Jake R. Baxter. She is survived by daughter, Jane Fowler; granddaughter, Julie Sanders; great grandchildren, Brittney Baxter, Michael, Howard and Nicholas Vanover, Matthew and Timothy Fowler. Friends and family may gather on Wednesday, January 7 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 8 at 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
