John A. Huser, Sr., 81, of Carmel, passed away in his home surrounded by family, on July 29, 2009. He was born in Indianapolis on April 24, 1928 to the late Joseph and Carolyn Huser. He was a graduate of Little Flower and Cathedral High School. Before retiring in 1985, John was the president of B&H Tool and Machine Corporation. John was described by his father as ?smooth and friendly but hard driving. He is a natural born administrator who puts his heart, head and shoulders in things.? John?s memberships included, president of the CYO Board of Directors, president of the Indianapolis Archdiocese Cemetery Board, president of the Indiana Manufacturers Association and president of the Harbour Trees Golf Club, served on the Board of the Saint Elizabeth Home, Serra Club and served as director of the Boys and Girls Club of Noblesville. John was the recipient of the 2001/2002 Outstanding Friend of Scecina Memorial High School Award and Booster Club President. He was awarded the Saint John Bosco Award, and was appointed to the Business and Defense Services Administration by Secretary of Commerce. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy (Dot) Nelson and one brother, Robert Raymond Huser. Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Jean Lovell Huser; children, John (Jay) Jr, and wife, Patty Huser, Mike and wife, Jane Huser, Bob and wife, Kim Huser, Bill and wife, Bridget Huser, Caren Huser Myers and husband, Craig, Peggy Huser Smith and husband,Greg and Marianne Huser McLean and husband, Chip; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brothers, Joseph and Jim Huser and sister, Marie Huser Kern. Family and friends will gather on Friday, July 31, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. in Leppert Mortuary, Smith Carmel Chapel, 900 N. Rangeline Road, Carmel, IN A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August1st at 11:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
