John D. Kelley, 57, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at his home on August 12, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 22, 1952 to the late Garrett and Jean (O?Connor) Kelley. Mr. Kelley was a member of and served on the parish council at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, a longtime member and past president of the Serra Club, a board member at the St. Augustine?s Home For The Aged, he also served as a Eucharistic minister at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and was a member of Big Brothers of Indianapolis. Mr. Kelley received his B.S. from Babson College in Boston, Massachusetts and his MBA from Indiana University. He was a Chartered Financial Consultant with AUL/One America for many years. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth ?Lisa? (Lannan) Kelley; his five children, Daniel Patrick Kelley (Katie Sullivan), Kathleen Ann Kelley, Mary Esther Kelley, Colleen Elizabeth Kelley and John Michael Kelley and his three brothers, James Kelley (Lisa), Garrett Kelley and David Kelley (Jane). In keeping with his great devotion to the Blessed Mother, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 15 at Noon, which is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church followed by burial at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
