James L. Kennedy

James L. Kennedy, 87, of Fishers, IN passed away on October 1, 2009. He was born in Peru, IN on August 12, 1922 to Edward A. and Marybelle Kennedy. James attended Butler University and was a proud supporter of Bulldogs basketball. He was in the Army Infantry during WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart. James worked as a treasurer and President in the construction industry for 40 years. He was a member of the Columbia Club, Sigma Chi Fraternity and a long time supporter of the St. Elizabeth Home. James is survived by wife, Marge; sons, James L. (Victoria), Michael H. (Pegg), William P., John F. (Celeste) Kennedy; stepsons, Stephen (Lisa) and Timothy J. (Diane) Farley; stepdaughters, Karen E. (Steve) Dutchess, Kathy L. (Dave) McCaw, Fran (Lyle) Kendall; 18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at 10:00am at Christ the King Catholic Church. Friends and family will gather from 9:00am to 10:00am before mass also at the church.
