Founding of J. Everett Light Vocational Center. He was a member of the Episcopal brotherhood of St. Andrews and Theta Chi College Fraternity-Miami University. Boating, water skiing and tennis were major hobbies. John was an avid reader of history and biography and enjoyed family trips to historical American sites, especially Civil War battlegrounds and cemeteries. He enjoyed most of all vacationing with family and friends, especially the family vacations for several decades to Melwel Lodge in Ontario, Canada.. John was a direct descendent of Thomas Hart who immigrated to the New World to Ipswich, Massachusetts from Ipswich, England in 1643. A memorial service for John will be held at 3 P.M. on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Abundant Harvest United Church 7840 Ditch Road, Indianapolis, IN 46 260. Following the memorial service friends and families are invited to a party at 5:50 celebrating John?s life at the Hedgehog Music Showcase 101 West Main Street, Arcadia, IN 46030. A private inurnment will be in the spring at the historic Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio.
