Gary G. Blanton

Gary G. Blanton, 69, Carmel, passed away on March 9, 2010. He was born May 5, 1940 in Jackson, KY to the late Blaine and Hattie (Hounshell) Blanton. He was a 1958 graduate of Breathitt HS. Gary was involved in the construction business for many years in the Indianapolis area and was the owner of the Blanton Roofing Co., Carmel Car Sales, and 76 Falls Country Club in Albany, KY. Gary is survived by his wife of 49 years, Wanda (Sallee) Blanton; sons, Gary N. Blanton and David (Christie) Blanton; grandchildren, Amanda, Andrew and Joshua Blanton; and sister, Betty Sebastian. Gary was an active member of many organizations including the Carmel Lions Club, American Legion Post #155, Fishers Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and the Murat Temple. Friends and family will gather in the Leppert Mortuary, Smith Carmel Chapel, 900 N. Rangeline Road on Friday, March 12, 2010 from 4 ? 7 pm. A funeral service will take place Saturday, March 13th at 11 am also in the mortuary with burial to follow in the Zionsville Cemetery.
