Sandra Kay Thomas

Sandra Kay Thomas, 65, of Noblesville died on April 9, 2010 in a tragic car accident. She was born on Nov. 1, 1944 in Batesville, IN to Adrian and Isabel Messer. Sandra received a BA from Indiana Wesleyan and an MA in education from Butler University. She married her beloved husband, James Gregory Thomas, on July 14, 1972. She loved and adored her two children, Matthew and Sarah. She cherished raising and educating her 5 grandchildren. Sandra was an elementary education teacher for over 30 years in the Indianapolis and Noblesville school system. She especially enjoyed her teaching time at Stony Creek Elementary School. She was a breast cancer survivor. Sandra was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carmel and loved her church, singing in the choir and participating in many ladies ministries. Other memberships include Kappa Alpha Theta, Master Gardeners of America, North American Falconry Association, and the American Quarter Horse Association. She loved her two mini dachshunds, Millie and Marcel. She enjoyed riding dressage on her horse, Texas, and was an avid and talented knitter.
