Henry Collier

Henry Eugene Collier, 78, of Indianapolis, formerly of Coaldale, PA, passed away Friday, August 27, 2010. Born November 7, 1931, in Coaldale, he was the son of James and Dorothy (McGorry) Collier, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his wife, Anne Marie (Miller) Collier along with two brothers, Danny and Tommy Collier. Known to his friends as ?Kipper,? he was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service for more than 30 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Coaldale, the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus and the National Association of Letter Carriers. Henry was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his three sons: Gene Collier of Pittsburgh, PA; Chris Collier of Ashburn, VA; Patrick Collier of Indianapolis; two brothers, Jimmy Collier of Ocean City, NJ, and Francis Collier of Florida; and two grandsons: Sean and Andy Collier of Pittsburgh. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel.
